Southern Premier League T20 season 3 finished with a Bang!

Southern premier League t20 finished its season 3 grand finals this Sunday at Sir Barry Curtis Park Flatbush. The League ran for 7 weeks with 10 teams participating in the League. The League is organised by the Flatbush Cricket Club Chairperson Mr Swaran katal who aims to make this league better and bigger every season. The Season 3 was played in front of the home audience where over 100 people witnesses the Grand Finals and supported their Local Talent. " We want Southern premier League to be something more and better than Social Cricket, Said Mr Swaran katal. 

The Toss was won by Mirzapur X1 who chose to bat first. Batting First, Mirzapur scored a total of 102 runs by loosing all their wickets. Both Anmol and Shikhar gave a cracking start in the first 2 overs however the things started to fall off after they lost the first wicket. Batting second, Golden Royals chased the total in 13 overs with 6 wickets to go. The highlight of the match was an outstanding 51 runs haul by Arshdeep from Golden Royals and 4 Wickets by Pramod. In this low scoaring chase, Pramod was announced as the Man Of the Match for the Finals.

The winners took home  a trophy and a winning amount of $1100 where the runners up got a prize of $600.

Luke Istead from Golden Royals was the Man of the Series who received a trophy and Mattress set from one of our sponsors, Slumberzone worth $1700.

The season 4 will start in November this year which is likely to be bigger and better!
